Volvo SPA XC90 Bilstein B6 Front Shock Absorber 24-254496

The Bilstein B6 front shock absorber is a performance upgrade damper for the Volvo XC90 II on standard-height springs. It sharpens handling and body control over the original dampers while keeping a comfortable, everyday ride.

• Performance upgrade for cars on standard (OE) springs
• Monotube gas-pressure design for consistent damping
• Height-neutral, direct OE-style fitment – no modifications

Bilstein catalogue this part as the B6 Performance shock absorber (often sold as B6 Sport), part number 24-254496.

The B6 uses Bilstein's monotube gas-pressure technology with damping tuned specifically for each vehicle. Compared with standard twin-tube dampers, it resists fade under hard, repeated loads and gives tighter control of body roll, pitch and rebound – without changing ride height.

The B6 fits in place of the original part. Mounting: spring-bearing damper; top pin (stem). A wheel alignment check is recommended after any suspension work.

Ideal for Volvo XC90 II owners who want a noticeably tighter, more confident drive on the standard springs, for fast road driving, towing or heavier loads.

Vehicle Fitment (Front Axle)
