The B6 uses Bilstein's monotube gas-pressure technology with damping tuned specifically for each vehicle. Compared with standard twin-tube dampers, it resists fade under hard, repeated loads and gives tighter control of body roll, pitch and rebound – without changing ride height.

The B6 fits in place of the original part. Mounting: suspension strut; top pin (stem). A wheel alignment check is recommended after any suspension work.
