Improve airflow while keeping the original Volvo airbox with the BSR Performance Panel Air Filter for the Volvo S60 Mk2, V60 Mk1, V70 Mk3, XC70 Mk2, XC60 Mk1 and S80 Mk2. It is a direct replacement for the standard disposable paper element, offering lower intake restriction without the extra noise or engine-bay changes of a full induction kit or cone filter.

It suits the 1.6, 2.0 and 2.4-litre petrol and diesel (T3/T4/T5/T6 2.0, D2/D3/D4/D5, 2.4D), plus the S80 4.4 V8 engines listed below. It is an ideal upgrade for standard cars and for tuned Volvos running ECU software or other supporting modifications that need more air at full load.

The filter uses a pleated cotton filtration medium supported by steel mesh on both sides, giving a strong balance of airflow, filtration and durability. Soft polyurethane sealing edges make sure it seals properly inside the factory airbox.

Unlike a paper filter that is thrown away at each service, the BSR panel filter is washable and reusable. Cleaned and re-oiled correctly, it can last the life of the car. It is supplied pre-oiled and ready to fit.

Because the original airbox is retained, installation is straightforward with no permanent modifications. Simply remove the original filter element and fit the BSR filter in its place.

Important: JR Filters lists the T6 for this filter only as the 2.0-litre four-cylinder Drive-E (from 11/2013). The 3.0-litre six-cylinder T6, the 3.2 six-cylinder and the 2.5T five-cylinder petrol engines are not listed. JR Filters lists the V70 Mk3 as “V70 II” and the 2006 S80 2.4D as “S80”. Both refer to the P3 models shown above. Please confirm your engine and the shape of your existing air filter before ordering.

Filter Maintenance
